iREP Celebrates Francis Oladele

You Are Invited!
iREP Celebrates Legendary Pioneer in the Nigerian Feature Film Industry.

DATE: Friday, 3rd July, 2015.
VENUE: Freedom Park, Hospital Road, Broad Street, Lagos.
TIME: 3pm Prompt.

You might have heard about the film adaptation of Wole Soyinka's Kongi's Harvest or Chinua Achebe's Things Fall Apart. The producer of those films was Francis Oladele. Sadly, not so many people (including filmmakers) know about the works of this legendary filmmaker.

Francis Adetunji Oladele, passed on in the early hours of June 22, 2015 at an Ibadan hospital, after a brave battle with prostate cancer, he will be buried on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at his premises in Oyo Town. His contribution to the Nigerian Film Industry is of no mean measure, and the iREP Film Forum will bring filmmakers, colleagues and contemporaries of Francis Oladele, art aficionados, writers, film students, etc. together to celebrate the works and contributions of Francis Oladele to the film industry.

You must make a plan to attend.

Warm Regards,

The iREP Team.
