GEORGE WEAH NOW NEWLY ELECTED LIBERIA PRESIDENT

Ex-Liberia international George Weah has been elected as the 25th President of Liberia after securing 12 of the 15 counties in the country.
The three-time African Footballer of the Year and the first African player to win the Ballon d'Or defeated Joseph Boakai and will now succeed the first elected female president in Africa, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.

And the football world joined the former Chelsea, AC Milan, PSG, Monaco, Manchester City and Marseille .

President elect of Liberia George Weah’s  victory speech

Distinguished ladies and gentlemen

Madam Jewel Howard-Taylor, Vice President-elect of the Republic of Liberia

Fellow compatriots
Today is a day to give thanks. Let us begin by lifting our eyes to heaven to thank God Almighty for the wonderful blessings He has bestowed upon beloved our country. It was God who inspired the people of Liberia to vote change to believe that with this change will come the hope of … in a most prosperous Liberia future. I thank God that among so many presidential candidates, I was chosen to be the 24th President of the Republic of Liberia.

I am truly blessed and humbled by this divine favour. I thank my darling wife, Clar Weah, and my family who have stood by me over the years, especially in the last 13 years of political struggle. Through the darkest moments of this struggle, my wife and children have remained my pillar of strength. I would not have been able to do this without their untiring support and advice.

I cannot summon the words to thank the people of Liberia who have made this historic day possible. What the people of Liberia have delivered for the country cannot even be described in words. So, I will ask Liberians here and those throughout the country under the sound of my voice to thank the Liberian people by clapping for one minute.

I thank you for joining me to celebrate the Liberian people. They are the true heroes and heroine of this victory. Let me also thank the leadership, partisans, supporters and sympathisers of the Coalition we say a big thank you, with special thanks and appreciation going to the Honourable Senator of Nimba County, Prince Yormie Johnson. To the leadership and partisans of the Liberia People Democratic Party, we say thank you. To the leadership and partisans of the National Patriotic Party (NPP) we say thank you, and of course to our own, Congress for Democratic Change, we say a resounding thank you.

CDCians have sustained the struggle over the years, and without you this victory would not be possible. Two days ago, the world watched me cry. I did not cry because I won. I cried because of the many partisans who lost their lives in the struggle for change. They will never be forgotten. Please join me in a moment of silence in memory of the fallen heroes of our revolutionary struggle.

We truly thank all Liberians especially the women of Liberia who stood with us in the battle. For that, I can truly that the best way to celebrate all Liberians is to improve their lives through the instrument of pro-poor public governance. I declare publicly today that transforming the lives of all Liberians is a singular mission and focus of my presidency.

Over the next few days, we will assemble the government committed to fighting for the ideas that have inspired our campaign, and dedicated to delivering for the Liberian people. Those chosen to serve will and must be dedicated to the ideas of grassroots, social transformation. Person looking to cheat the Liberian people through the menace of corruption will have no place in my administration. We will build on the institutional gains under Madam Sirleaf to improve the lives of our people. We will build a new institution where necessary to protect rights and engender inclusion among all our people.

To our Diaspora Liberians, we say come home. This is a new dispensation. We need your skills, your ideas, your expertise and talents so that together we will build our common patrimony. To our development partners, we say a big thank you for the support you have provided over the last 12 years. As we embark upon this transition, we call for renewal and strengthening of this partnership. We know that aid flows have declined in the last few years. In our view, this decline is not good for the current transition – at least in the short term. While we work to grow the Liberian economy and expand our revenue base, medium-term aid would be needed to support projects that would be critical to our long-term growth.

To investors, we say Liberia is open and ready for business. Over the long term, private investment will be our key strategy to delivering transformation. We will work to relax constraints to private investment; strengthen the business, legal and regulatory environment, and protect business profits.
Fellow partisans, I received a concession call from His Excellency Vice President Joseph Nyumah Boakai. I thanked him and said that in the interest of our people, we will work together. He is a statesman and also my neighbour. If I have to walk over to greet and get advice from him, I will. That is what neighbours are for.

To other political parties, we are not enemies. We welcome you with open arms as we all strive to build our country. This election was a contest in ideas and not a clash of political personalities. Our ideas have prevailed but that does not mean you do not have a contribution to make. We need to bring our country together to secure our peace and work harder towards national unity and development.

To the iron lady of African, President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, we say thank you for the peaceful transfer of power that is about to take place. Yours is a legacy in democratic empowerment, and we promise to follow your footsteps in protecting the rights of Liberians and providing even greater freedom. We will build on the foundation you have laid to achieve more for all of our people. Your job is not yet done, Madam President, as we will continue to count on you to strengthen our outreach to both development partner and investors, all in the direction of moving our country forward.

Let us all work hard to build our country; only then will the creed in our national anthem ring true:

In union strong success is sure

With God above

Our rights to prove

We will o’er all prevail

HOW TO SURVIVE A HEART ATTACK WHEN ALONE?

 1. Let’s say it’s 7.25pm and you’re going home (alone of course) after an unusually hard day on the job.
 2. You’re really tired, upset and frustrated.
3 Suddenly you start experiencing severe pain in your chest that starts to drag out into your arm and up in to your jaw. You are only about five km from the hospital nearest your home.
 4. Unfortunately you don’t know if you’ll be able to make it that far.
 5. You have been trained in CPR, but the guy who taught the course did not tell you how to perform it on yourself.
 6. HOW TO SURVIVE A HEART ATTACK WHEN ALONE? Since many people are alone when they suffer a heart attack without help, the person whose heart is beating improperly and who begins to feel faint, has only about 10 seconds left before losing consciousness.
 7. However, these victims can help themselves by coughing repeatedly and very vigorously. A deep breath should be taken before each cough, and the cough must be deep and prolonged, as when producing sputum from deep inside the chest. A breath and a cough must be repeated about every two seconds without let-up until help arrives, or until the heart is felt to be beating normally again.
 8. Deep breaths get oxygen into the lungs and coughing movements squeeze the heart and keep the blood circulating. The squeezing pressure on the heart also helps it regain normal rhythm. In this way, heart attack victims can get to a hospital.
 9. Tell as many other people as possible about this. It could save their lives!!
 10. A cardiologist says If everyone who gets this mail kindly sends it to 10 people, you can bet that we’ll save at least one life.
 11. Rather than sending jokes, please... contribute by forwarding this mail which can save a person’s life.
 12. If this message comes around you... more than once… please don’t get irritated... You should instead, be happy that you have many friends who care about you & keeps reminding you how to deal with a Heart attack.

IS NOLLYWOOD MOVIE INDUSTRY DOOMED WITH IGNORANCE - A wakeup call

Fellow movie makers, its pertinent to ask some questions at this juncture, honestly l dont seem to get the drive in our todays emerging movie industry. I am disgustinged and shocked to provocation right now. Why are we so non challant about the things that concerns us? We have gotten so used to free money's here and there, luxurious lifestyle, frames, fame, designers, paparazzi, luxury cars, fans recognitions, location blues, gossips to upgrade, ganging to gain and general show, to have lost our mission, vision and structure.

Seemingly the world sees us as cerebral minds because we change lives with our products. Yet that has plunged us to not realising our high points, grey areas and best footing. It pains me that in our claim to know, we exhale so huge ignorance. The actor becomes carried away with his fame, the marketer is driven by his pride, the director superior by his intellect, the producer his product, and the investor by his investment and so lost the original drive to create an industry that will protect our creativity, secure our feature and enrich our industry. We all sound so not united that the evil golliats sees an opening to poke the industry to death. We seem so unconcerned yet belong to particular political mind sets with no clear agenda than solidarity for hate lives.... We easily pick enemies amongst ourselves in selfish competitions. If we don’t, the press helps us pick one.
My findings in the new music sector, after big local and international record labels pulled out of business in Nigeria, revealed their positive drives, music business involvements, huge passion and their true to the-business attitude. This l later found out is, because they are equally INVESTORS in their products. A music artiste gets his song, raises fund for demo, scouts for good producers, gets a manager, looks for a good producer or record label " mostly owned by fellow artistes ". His investment in his brand, gave him this positive PASSION.

ACTORS SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN SPOILT WITH FREE MONIES.
They Lay back in their fun life, and gets a call, which of course must pay them b4 they go on set. Some even frustrate genuine productions by their callous and prodigious attitudes. Some of this productions suffer huge lose from this unethical attitudes. We began to shot ourselves in the leg, Gradually paralyzing ourselves and not accepting that we equally lost quality fame feature funds and more to incoherent behaviors. We now act like we are operating a secret cult fellowship. Then the GOLIATH took over our business placing a template that can be perceived as an industry yet a private company. He divides and rules us as it were now, Selects a few favored artistes, by politics. Pays them stipends in millions, of his own sweat and in return demand loyalty with hug WAND OF CANE to punish any perceived smart move.
My cherished colleagues it pains me to see name like , 2face idibia, sunny nneji, mi , kenny ogungbe, wiz kid, idris abdulkareem, davido and moioore stand up and out for a united purpose to get back what belong to them. They hv been tweeting none stop cause they understand what 70% to the creative world and 30% to telecommunications industries and related agencies. They know it will bring massive wealth to their industry by arithmetic. Poverty will become strange and we can control our brands from our bar coding account which alerts every time they are streamed,, air play, ring tone or otherwise consumed.

My template ran in tandem with the PMAN presidents own and we positively came together to build a structure for our industry. Someone has to do it anyway. They say if u hide treasure in a book, Nigerian will still be very poor. I wonder how many will take time to read, research this story and get the essence trending knowledge to better their lives? I see some, clothed with this huge ignorance rather running around those GOLIATH'S for loose and free money to sustain their poverty mentality. My people, its time to wake up and ask relevant questions get quality answer and move with the progressives.
Some will think this is to garner their support n solidarity, naaaa , l don’t personally need it now cause we hv gone beyond that stage and are standing with the law of the land. What u do is for yourself and feature generation. Lets drop these senseless evil arrogance and embrace a new technology template to equally account for our brands amongst other benefits. It is your fight. don’t sit back and look. Join the tweeting entertainment community. We are lucky to have a passionate and youthful legislator which has risked his own next election to save the industry. Lets stop acting like guests in our own territories, Take charge my people. Forget the formal contracts signed with this multinationals. The hood news is that our sovereign national constitution and parliament act has saved us.

Emeka Ike

Our mission is to transform potential in our creative industry into new frontiers of economic opportunities for all Nigerians, and inherently unlock entertainment tax revenues for national development, and economic growth"

SINGING AND DANCING AT COSON HOUSE AS OKOROJI RETURNS AS CHAIRMAN

It was celebration galore at COSON House in Ikeja on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 as members of Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) from different parts of the country met at the COSON General Assembly and restored Chief Tony Okoroji as Chairman of the society. There was singing, dancing and prayers to the Almighty as Chief Okoroji who was initially absent from the meeting arrived the COSON House Arena following the demand of the members and a long telephone conversation initiated by music icon, Prof (Sir) Victor Uwaifo, who chaired the General Assembly. Upon his arrival, Chief Okoroji received a tumultuous welcome from the COSON members.
The meeting which was attended by several icons of the music industry from different parts of the country resolved that the very sudden purported change of the Chairmanship of the Management Board of COSON on December 7, 2017, just 12 days to the EGM, under bizarre circumstances, be condemned and annulled by the COSON General Assembly.

The COSON General Assembly clarified that Chief Okoroji of whom the members of COSON across Nigeria have the greatest respect and confidence in, remains the Chairman of the Management Board of COSON.
The meeting had the entire COSON building overflowing with stakeholders in the music industry and had in attendance such personalities as Prof (Sir) Victor Uwaifo, Sir Shina Peters, Ras Kimono, Kenny Saint Best, Azeezat Allen, Hon John Ewelukwa Udegbunam, Prince Biodun Eguakhide, etc. The COSON members commended Chief Tony Okoroji for his humility, maturity and comportment in the face of perfidy. They praised his vision and incomparable sacrifice towards the growth of the Nigerian creative industry and for making COSON the most transparent and accountable organization in the history of the Nigerian creative industry.

The COSON General Assembly also commended the former President of PMAN for leading COSON in the middle of a biting recession in Nigeria to the building and commissioning of the magnificent COSON House, the first and only such property belonging to any organization in the Nigerian creative industry, an edifice built without any money from the government or any other institution, foreign or local and without any loan from any bank.

Accepting the decision of the General Assembly, Chief Okoroji said that he is humbled by the love of the members of COSON and holds no animosity against anyone as a result of what had transpired in COSON and that as a father he knows that in any family, what happened recently in COSON would happen from time to time. He said that even though he disagreed with the process through which a handful of the members of the Board conspired to remove him, he had decided before the call from Prof Uwaifo to move on and continue to serve the Nigerian creative community in his private capacity. He commended the members for quickly stepping in and resolving the issues and positioning COSON for much greater achievements in 2018.

The COSON Chairman thanked the members for their confidence in him and assured them that as a committed democrat, under no circumstance would he fail them or betray the Nigerian creative community.

The meeting also resolved that the sum of Two Hundred & Six Million Naira (N206,000,000.00) be distributed to members and affiliates of COSON whose names appear in the register as at May 19, 2017.

ANTONIO CONTE IS EGOCENTRIC, A SADIST AND A PLAYER DESTROYER.

Chelsea coach Antoni Conte has started again with Diego Costa treatment of Chelsea good player Luiz David.
He was busy with Costa issues and  was not able to concentrate in the transfer market .Now another issue is Luiz David who worked so hard for Chelsea to win the league last season is now on his radii for destruction.
A good coach must know how to manage players too, even if the player has gone astray and show remorse that player should be in the scheme of things
Conte is now proving himself to be a useless coach, is time for you to leave Chelsea, he is egocentric, a sadist and a player destroyer.
I can tell you that big players will not like to come to Chelsea because of his wired and buzzard approach to player coach relationship.
Luiz David will not look for a club to go when  Madrid ,Barcelona even Bayern are looking for an opportunity to grab him.
Chelsea management should start shopping for a replacement  for Antonio Conte because he will soon start to have dressing room problem and that will be another Jose Mourhino saga again.
Luiz should not leave Chelsea on his terms. Players are not children, most of them are family men and you should not punish a player  to the point of destruction.
Conte is a heartless beast who don’t have the interest of the club he is managing  at heart but his personal ego.
He should exit now or he will destroy the calmness in Chelsea team.

My advice ,  is  that Luiz should move on this January transfer window, If he cannot assure him of regular play time. Antonio Conte must not play God,he was not the best when he was a player ,enough is enough.
