Only
God has no weakness. Every rose flower has its own thorn. If you focus too much
on your spouse’s weakness, you can’t get the best out of his/her strength.
2.
*EVERYONE YOU MARRY HAS A DARK HISTORY*
No
one is an angel, therefore, avoid digging one’s past. What matters is the
present life of your partner. Old things are passed away. Try to forgive and
forget. The past can’t be changed. So focus on the present and the future!
3.
*EVERY MARRIAGE HAS IT’S OWN CHALLENGES*
Marriage
is not bed of roses. Every shining marriage has gone through its own test of
hot and excruciating fire. True love is proved in time of challenge. Fight for
your marriage! Make up your mind to stay with your spouse in time of needs.
Remember this is the vow you made on your wedding day!
4.
*EVERY MARRIAGE HAS DIFFERENT LEVELS OF SUCCESS*
Don’t
compare your marriage with anyone! We can never be equal, some will be far in
front and others far behind. To avoid marriage stresses, be patient, work hard
and with time, your marriage dreams shall come true.
5.
*TO MARRY IS TO DECLARE A WAR*
When
you marry, you must declare a war against enemies of marriage. Some of the
enemies of marriage are: Ignorance, Rumours, Prayerlessness, Unforgiveness,
Adultery, Third Party Influence, Stinginess, Stubbornness, Lack Of Love,
Rudeness, Wife battery, Laziness, winning, nagging, PRIDE, Divorce etc. Be
ready to fight to maintain your marriage zone.
6.
*THERE IS NO PERFECT MARRIAGE*
There
is no ready made marriage anywhere. Marriage is hard work, volunteer yourself
and perfect it daily. Marriage is like a MOTOR CAR with a gear oil, gear box,
etc If these parts are not properly maintained, the car will break down
somewhere along the road and expose the occupant to unhealthy circumstances. –
Many of us are careless about our marriage… Are you? If you are, please pay
attention to your marriage.
7.
*GOD CANNOT GIVE YOU THE COMPLETE PERSON YOU DESIRE*
God
gives you, her or him in form of raw materials in order for you to mold what
you desire. You may desire a woman who can pray for 1 hour but your wife can
only pray for 30 minutes. With your love, prayer and encouragement, she can
improve.
8.
*TO MARRY IS TO TAKE A RISK*
You
cannot predict what will happen after marriage, as situation may change, so,
leave a room for adjustment. Pregnancy may not come in the next 4 years. You
may get married to her because she's slim but she becomes a little fat after a
child. He may lose his beautiful job for years that you have to take the
financial responsibility of the family until he gets a new job. But with God by
your side, you will smile at long last.
9.
*MARRIAGE IS NOT A CONTRACT, IT IS PERMANENT*
Marriage
needs total commitment, love is the glue that makes a couple stick together.
Divorce starts in the mind. Never think of divorce! Never threaten your spouse
with divorce. Choose to remain married! God hates divorce, though it’s
permitted only in extreme cases.
10.
*EVERY MARRIAGE HAS A PRICE TO PAY*
Marriage
is like a bank account. It is the money you deposit into your bank account that
you can withdraw. If you don’t deposit love, peace and care into your marriage,
you are not a candidate of a blissful home. There is no free love in marriage, You
cannot love without giving and sacrificing.
*May
God grant us the grace and wisdom to succeed in it. Amen!!! Send it to married
and single people on your contacts list.*
The event started with a solemn candle light procession, which lasted for an hour, in loving memory of our screen diva. The procession terminated at LTV where the night of tributes commenced.
The
President of Women Arise, Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin during the candle light
It was a sober gathering and celebration of life as Nollywood Stars, comrades, friends, clerics, family members and the media gathered to pay glowing tributes to our screen diva, who passed on Wednesday 16th May, 2018 and interred the next day.
The President of the Golden Movie Ambassador, Amb Saidi Balogun, said “I still find it hard to call other peoples' names without calling your name Aishat…” Promising that her dreams will not die.
The Philanthropist, Mr. Tope Agbeyo asserted “Aishat till we meet to part no more"
Aisha was a triplet, the brother in tears screamed “I lost my better half, I don’t believe it is real but God knows best.”
The President of Women Arise, Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin said “Our path crossed 6 years ago during the sensitization on GBV, Ebola Awareness and other humanitarian causes."
Seven days after her painful exit, we remember Aisha for her principle and commitment in the upliftment of the less privileged.
I remembered with nostalgia the old times, her smile, love, kindness, and encouragements. I cannot forget in a hurry her dedication and discipline to causes she believed in. The cold hand of death has snatched away this dependable ally.
She was a humanist par excellence, with an uncommon compassion for the poor couple with the milk of kindness that flows in her vains.
I know you are in a better place and resting. The saying that 'life is not measured in duration but in donations' holds true in Aisha's case. Though, you lived a short life by human standard but you've truly lived a fulfilled life because you existed for others.
They think
they are having fun but they are sitting on a time bomb. Here are the things
married people do that shatter marriages to pieces:
1. FLIRTING:
calling your neighbour "sweetheart", chasing small girls all over the
street, wearing skimpy clothes while your husband's friends are around are
things that stir hot, murderous jealousy that eventually leads to the demise of
a once upon blissful marriage.
2. KEEPING
SECRETS . No one likes surprises, not your spouse either. It is not fun when
your husband finds out you have a child out of wedlock or you once dated and
slept with his best friend. It is a shocker if your wife opens your mail and
sees messages from your ex. These shatters trust beyond repair. Only God can
help that marriage thenceforth.
3. POOR
HYGIENE : Oh, it's easy to think "it doesn't matter, my spouse
understands." Most women don't wake up until they see their spouse deeply
enmeshed in affair. There is no excuse for body and mouth odour in marriage.
Couples should learn to respect their spouse and present a clean body to them.
It works.both ways. Men should also step up in this area. A smelling mouth and
unkempt armpit plus the one down there is a huge turn off.
4. DEBT: Big
issue. Good debts go into the business, bad debts go into the stomach and other
people's pockets. Copying the Joneses and living far above your income is a
sure recipe for marital disaster.
5. GETTING
FAT . If your spouse loves it, fine, if he doesn't then correct it. Using
childbirth, contraceptives and hereditary as an excuse won't make your spouse
see you as sexy. They may feel guilty for complaining, swear to God they love
you "perfectly" the way you are but deep down they resent that fat
and easily get attracted to ladies/ men who have the features you have buried
beneath the massive flesh.
6.
PRAYERLESSNESS: Prayer works. Nagging kills. Someone says "Tell your
spouse his best and tell God his worst." In other words, it takes God's
intervention to break some destructive habits in your spouse. Not that they
don't want to change, they just found themselves helpless.
7.
PORNOGRAPHY is a number one killer of sexual fulfillment in marriage. It leads
to unrealistic expectations, masturbation and premature ejaculation. Men
addicted to these pictures/movies often expect their wives to perform like the
porn stars and handle them like animals in bed. They also ejaculate early
leaving the woman unfulfilled and unsatisfied.
8.
COMPARISON : It's okay to admire that cute guy at work, just keep that to
yourself and don't expect your spouse to walk, talk and think like him. Men who
compare their wives to their ex or mothers are digging their marital grave.
9. ROUTINE
creates boredom. Same food, same underwear, same sex position year in year out
kills romance and passion faster than anything else. Spice up your marriage and
give it some life.
10. AFFAIRS
. This is a big one. The moment another man sleeps with or you have sex with
another woman, your marriage qualifies for divorce. There is no excuse for
extra marital affairs. Avoid it like plague.
Work on your
marriage, give it your best shot, do all you can to make it work because YOU
CAN MAKE IT WORK .God has given you that power, use it and see your marriage
transform before your very eyes. You will succeed.
