Dr Danjuma Dadu New MD Nigerian Film Corporation


A 1-Day interactive forum with motion picture practitioners as well as stakeholders in the motion picture industry organized by  The Nigerian Film Corporation (NFC) was held on  Tuesday, 2nd of July, 2013  at Nigerian Film Corporation Lagos office by FRCN/VON, Ikoyi Road Ikoyi, Lagos

Dr. Danjuma Wurim Dadu, the new Managing Director/Chief Executive of the Nigerian Film Corporation (NFC) came to meet with existing Guilds and Associations on the challenges faced by film practitioners in the industry. In his speech, he promised to work with the entire stake holders to create a more viable film industry in Nigeria. After responses from stake holders he assured that all the challenges faced in the industry for many years now will be addressed and he promised to establish a study center that will accommodate even those without basic certificates that are interested in learning film business.


The filmmakers and stakeholders in the film sector including film festival organisers in the likes of Hope Obioma Opara the President of Eko International Film Festival and Fidelis Duker the organiser of Abuja Film Festival were all present during the familiarization tour.
In his closing remarks he assured that he is opened for more consultations for the way forward for a better Nigerian film industry.
