colleague from the old school. A talented thespian, brilliant actor, producer
and director. A Compassionate, committed, detribalized, passionate, detailed,
cerebral, creative and gifted filmmaker. A chip of the old block who was the
2nd director of nigeria's longest running soap opera of the 80's Ripples. He is
an award winning actor with his emotional and inspiring interpretation of his
role in the award winning movie "mortal inheritance". A lover of
soccer and die hard arsenal fan. Congrats your team gave you a soothing
birthday gift with the FA cup yesterday. He is considered to be very playful
but I see in his play the true Fred Amata, a man who is passionate about
excellence in whatever he does. Fred could be argumentative on his standpoint
but with a superior argument he gives in and like we all, we are human but give
it to him he is a very intelligent and incisive man. he is down to earth and
believes in saying respect begets respect. As you celebrate your 51st birthday
today I bestow on you the toga of a true veteran of nollywood and a senior
actor of nigeria (SAN). Congrats my guy.

Chike Ibekwe's first feature film Eternal
shared the Golden Screen prize for the best film award with “An Unusual Woman”
by Burkinabe director Abdoulaye Dao at the 14th annual “Ecrans noirs” Film
Festival in Yaounde (Cameroon) and has been screened at other international
film festivals.
